Susanne Alexandor, Managing Director, Cougar Global Investments
Susanne joined Cougar Global to lead the private client wealth management business and participate in the management of our investment strategies. She brings over 20 years’ experience in Canadian and global investment management, having worked extensively with private and institutional clients as a discretionary portfolio manager and advisor. Susanne held positions with Deutsche Bank (DWS), Morgan Grenfell Asset Management (currently Aberdeen Asset Management), UBS Wealth Management, and Citi Private Bank in major financial centers including New York, Luxembourg, London, and Toronto. Susanne earned an Honours BA in Economics and German from Rutgers University. She is a registered Portfolio Manager - Advising Representative with the Ontario Securities Commission.

Donald G. Bennyhoff, Senior Investment Analyst, Vanguard
Donald G. Bennyhoff is a senior investment analyst for Vanguard Investment Strategy Group. He is a member of the group responsible for capital markets research and the asset allocations used in Vanguard’s fund-of-fund solutions, such as the Target Retirement Funds. The group is also responsible for maintaining and enhancing the investment methodology used for advice-based relationships with high-net-worth and institutional clients. In addition, Mr. Bennyhoff has authored a number of research papers on topics of concern for institutional and ultra high-net-worth audiences. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Furman University, has been in the financial services industry since 1991, and is a CFA charterholder.

Larry Berman, Co-Founder, ETF Capital Management
Larry M. Berman is a Co-Founder of ETF Capital Management (www.etfcm.com) and the Independent Investor Institute (www.educatedtrader.com), and brings nearly twenty five years of industry experience to the role of Chief Investment Officer. As Chief Technical Strategist at CIBC World Markets, Larry was ranked as one of Canada’s “Top 3 Analysts” according to Brendan Wood institutional investor surveys.
Larry began his career as a Toronto based investment advisor in 1989 and completed a technical internship in New York with the Market Technicians Association (www.mta.org) in 1994, where he studied the techniques of many top Wall Street technicians. Prior to founding ETFCM (2006) and I3 (2011), he was Chief Technical Strategist and Managing Director for CIBC World Markets since 1997. Larry was a senior technical analyst for Thomson IFR in Boston and senior technical analyst and trader for Marleau, Lemire Futures in Toronto.
Larry is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT), a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, and is a US registered Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA). Larry graduated from York University with a BA in Economics and lectures on behavioural finance and technical analysis at colleges and universities.
Larry is the primary author of the textbook for the technical analysis course offered by the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI), which is the primary source of education for technical analysis in Canada. Larry is past President of the Canadian Society of Technical Analysts (www.csta.org), past Vice-Chairman (Americas) of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (www.ifta.org), and past President of the Market Technicians Association - where he currently sits on the board of the educational foundation (www.mtaef.org). Larry’s opinions frequently appear in the media, and he is featured weekly on BNN’s Berman’s Call.

Pat Bolland, Media Consultant
Longtime business commentator Pat Bolland has been a business thought leader north and south of the border. Pat worked his way up in the investment industry from floor clerk on the Toronto Stock Exchange to VP with a top tier firm before moving into broadcasting. Pat’s been business editor at four major networks, currently Sun New Network on ‘AM Agenda’. He has parlayed his TV hosting skills into media training, corporate PR as well as hosting, moderating and webcasting for events and conferences. Not to mention a lot of lacrosse coaching. Despite all his business and sport acumen he’s best known as “the guy with the ‘stache”. Follow him at @patbolland.

Alex Brozyna, Senior Vice President, Leverage Finance Strategy, First Trust Advisors
Alex Brozyna is a Senior Vice President First Trust Advisors where he specializes in the fields of Exchange- Traded Funds (ETFs), Leveraged Finance Strategies and MLP/Energy Infrastructure Strategies. His focus is providing Investment Management Solutions to institutional investors through financial advisors and consultants.
Mr. Brozyna joined First Trust in 2006 after four years with the JPMorgan Chase Investment Services Group. There, he was a Senior Financial Advisor responsible for the firm’s high-net worth clientele and for managing a team of junior advisors.
Mr. Brozyna brings over 10 years of experience to the financial services industry, and he is a graduate of Rutgers University with a B.A. in United States History.

Fraser Coburn, Regional Vice President, Sales, PowerShares Canada
Fraser Coburn is a Regional Associate in Sales at Invesco Trimark. His primary responsibilities include supporting the sales efforts of advisors in Quebec.
Prior to joining the company in 2006, Fraser worked at RBC Asset Management as an Investment Specialist. His began his career in the industry in 2000.
Fraser earned his B.Comm. in Finance from Concordia University and has completed a number of courses through the Canadian Securities Institute.

Michael Cooke, Head of Distribution, PowerShares Canada
In this role, Michael integrates PowerShares exchange traded products into the Canadian retail and institutional markets. He works with both internal and external clients to complement Invesco’s existing business and bring the best of Invesco PowerShares global expertise to Canadian investment professionals and their clients.
Michael joined Invesco in 2008 after a career in derivative product marketing where he was responsible for the origination, structuring and distribution support of a broad range of products linked to a range of asset classes including fixed income, equity, commodities, managed funds and currencies. Prior to that, Michael held progressively senior sales, marketing and management positions at several global asset management firms. During his career, Michael has consulted with numerous institutional and retail clients across multiple product and business lines.
He is a graduate of Queen’s University in Political Studies and makes his home in Toronto with his wife and two children.

Benjamin Creary, Sales Executive, Vanguard Investments Canada Inc.
Benjamin Creary is a sales executive for Vanguard Investments Canada Inc., serving the Quebec region. Mr. Creary has extensive sales experience in business development, inside sales, and as an associate vice president of sales. Before joining Vanguard, he worked at BluMont Capital, where he generated new business and supported client relationships across Canada.>br> Mr. Creary earned his BA from Queen’s University, Ontario and is fluent in English and French.

Alain Desbiens, Vice President, Quebec & Atlantic, BMO Exchange Traded Funds
Alain brings more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry to his role as BMO ETF specialist for eastern Canada. A seasoned financial expert with experience as a broker, Alain has been instrumental in raising awareness of the benefits of ETFs to individual, retail and institutional clients through his facilitation of client seminars. He has also played an equally pivotal role in keeping portfolio managers in eastern Canada and Quebec aware of new developments in the ETF sphere. Prior to joining BMO, Alain worked as wholesaler and sales manager in the wealth distribution field, as well as a branch manager and investment advisor in the brokerage industry. Alain is a graduate of Laval University with a BA in Industrial Relations and holds the CSC-Branch Manager and Partner Director & Officer designations.

Bobby Eng, Senior Vice President, Head of Sales, First Trust Portfolios Canada
Bobby Eng is Senior Vice President, Head of Sales at First Trust Portfolios Canada. He is responsible for sales and distribution of the AlphaDEX™ Exchange Traded Funds line up as well as other products. Mr. Eng has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry and was most recently the Director & Vice President, Head of National Accounts at Blackrock Asset Management responsible for retail brokerage senior executive relationships. He was also instrumental in the success of the iShares, Exchange Traded Funds business in Canada being responsible for sales and business development across Canada. Mr. Eng also held sales and relationship management roles at Fidelity Investments and National Bank of Canada.
Mr. Eng holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting from Concordia University and holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation from the Investment Management Consultant Association (IMCA).

Matthew Fireman, Regional Head, TSX Company Services, Toronto Stock Exchange
As Regional Head, TSX Company Services, Matthew Fireman provides capital markets advice and counsel to publicly listed issuers in Quebec, Atlantic Canada and certain US and International markets. Ensuring that the issuers have access to the most up to date products and services offered by TMX Group, Matthew drives the regional sales initiative for our investor relations and transfer agent businesses.
Prior to joining TMX Group in 2007, Matthew worked in the high tech sector in both an operational and financial capacity and was responsible for strategic planning at a major Canadian retailer. With a BCOMM from McGill University and an MBA from HEC Montreal, Matthew is currently a board member of various not-for-profit and industry organizations.

Steve Higgins, Senior Manager, ETF Compliance & Investor Relations, Royal Canadian Mint
Steve Higgins, Senior Manager, ETR Compliance & Investor Relations, Canadian Gold Reserves/Canadian Silver Reserves programs, Royal Canadian Mint.
Steve Higgins oversees the ETR program at the Royal Canadian Mint. He is responsible for the design, development and management of exchange traded receipts (ETRs). Before joining the Mint in 2009 Steve was the Manager, Corporate Performance at Sustainable Development Technology Canada which makes early stage investments into the Cleantech sector. Steve completed his MBA at HEC School of Management in Paris and his Bachelor of Science and Business at the University of Waterloo.

Alfred Lee, Vice President, Portfolio Manager & Investment Strategist, BMO ETFs
Alfred is a portfolio manager on the BMO ETFs & Global Structured Investments team where he manages fixed income and preferred shares related mandates. In addition, he manages a liquid alternatives portfolio and develops tactical macro-related strategies using ETFs. As part of the BMO ETF team, Alfred is involved in the design and implementation of new products and the maintenance of mandates across various asset classes. Prior to joining BMO Global Asset Management, Alfred spent four years at a Canadian brokerage providing ETF Research & Strategy, while simultaneously provided coverage on commodities, foreign exchange and international macro. Alfred is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, majoring in economics and holds the CFA, CMT and DMS designations. He is also a member of the International Association of Financial Engineers (IAFE).

Rohit Mehta, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, First Asset ETFs
Rohit Mehta is Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and leads the strategies and execution of sales and marketing for First Asset’s Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Mutual Funds and Closed-End Funds. With over 13 years of financial industry experience, Rohit currently leads a team of 16 professionals that cover the three product lines across Canada.
Rohit’s passion for financial services started with his first position at RBC Dominion Securities. Since then he has held progressive roles in financial services and management. Prior to joining First Asset, he was vice-president and national sales manager at a major Canadian investment management firm.
Rohit is a contributing speaker at many industry conferences, events, and also is a regular commentator in the media. He sits on the Media and Public Relations committee of the Canadian ETF Association. Rohit holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours Economics) degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Amelia Nedovich, Head, Business Development, ETFs & Structured Products, Toronto Stock Exchange
Ms. Nedovich joined Toronto Stock Exchange 15 years ago and has served in various capacities throughout her tenure. Currently, she is responsible for the implementation of the ETF & Structured Product business development strategy for Toronto Stock Exchange, including sponsored education and marketing initiatives promoting the growth of the industry. She also manages relationships with key ETF and structured product industry participants.
Prior to joining TSX, Ms. Nedovich worked as an economist with the Ontario Public Service.
Ms. Nedovich holds an MA in Political Economy from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management.

Nicolas Normandeau, Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income, Horizons ETFs
Nicolas Normandeau is a member of the Corporate Fixed Income team and is a portfolio manager for the Corporate Fixed Income strategy. Mr. Normandeau has 9 years of industry experience and has been with the firm and a predecessor since 2009. Prior experiences include positions as Wealth Management Analyst for a leading Canadian financial institution and a consulting firm. Mr. Normandeau graduated from the Université de Sherbrooke with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), majoring in Finance. He later received a Master’s in Management degree (MSc) in Finance from the Université de Sherbrooke as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Jaime Purvis, Executive Vice President, National Accounts, Horizons ETFs
As Executive Vice-President at Horizons ETFs, Jaime manages the national accounts relationships for Horizons ETFs with Canadian Investment Dealers, as well as managing relationships with the Dealer’ managed asset and discretionary management programs. Jaime is also responsible for directing the Self-Directed Investing channel and delivering key concepts and product knowledge to the management, operations, and investors. Jaime also manages the Institutional sales program for Horizons ETFs in Europe.
Jaime is also the designated Product specialist for Horizons ETFs, and is integral in implementing and delivering educational campaigns for Horizons, such as the very successful Horizons ETF University series.
A Queen’s University graduate with an Honours degree in Political Science, Jaime has been with Horizons ETFs-related firms since 1995.

Yves Rebetez, Managing Director, Editor, ETFinsight
Recognizing the need for an all-encompassing resource dedicated to Canadian Exchange Traded Funds, Yves recently launched www.etfinsight.ca.
From 2004 until early 2011, Yves was Vice President, ETFs/Structured Products with Canada's largest Bank-owned Broker/Dealer, RBC Dominion Securities. Prior to that ( 1996-2004) Yves served as Portfolio Advisor (Canadian Equities) in DS’s Portfolio Advisory Group. His earlier work experience focused on portfolio management, both in Fixed Income (for Institutional Clients), and in International Equities (for High Net Worth Individuals), with Credit Suisse Canada in Toronto, and earlier with UBS in Switzerland. Yves is a CFA charterholder.

Mark Yamada, President & CEO, PUR Investing
Mark Yamada is President and CEO of PUR Investing Inc. (PUR). PUR combines software development with portfolio management delivering innovative solutions to defined contribution pension plans and disruptive strategies to investment advisors and their clients. PUR provides independent exchange-traded fund (ETF) analysis, risk-based portfolio construction and web-based tools including a multi-factor ETF screener and volatility drag calculator for use with leveraged ETFs. Mark lectures and writes about risk, volatility and portfolio construction in the U.S. and Canada and is a frequent speaker about the use of ETFs.
